During the period June 2024 to December 2024, young future entrepreneurs were afforded the opportunity to engage with the DIA Youth Innovation Lab, for blended (virtual and in-person) training in capacity building modules including:
· Innovation and Entrepreneurship
· Life Skills
· Business Model
· Financial Literacy
· Digital Literacy
· New Technology
· Computer Science and
· Data Science
Several youth entrepreneurs then participated in one of two pitch bootcamps, on November 18th and December 3rd 2024, respectively. Finally, two pitch competitions were held on December 11th and 12th, 2024 where the participants unlocked their creative potential and explored solutions to real-world challenges.
The journey culminated in a Prize Giving Ceremony on January 15th 2025 at the Centre for Enterprise Development (CED). The event featured inspiring presentations from our very own Executive Manager –Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation, Denise Ferguson, as well as Chief Executive Officer of CLICO Credit Union, Holland Brontë Tinkew, and Co-Founder of the Entrepreneurship Hub, Shemeon Williams who partnered with CARIRI for two special awards for pitch tank participants. Following the presentations, awards were distributed to all recipients.
